Home recordings of piano improvisations from February 2022.

Track titles come from the names of the brightest stars in the sky.

All this music is unplanned - I sit at the piano and my fingers play something, and everything follows from there. I liken this to the 'taking a line for a walk' approach from the painter Paul Klee. I enjoy developing ideas in the moment and seeing where they lead to. This means there are no 'wrong notes' as such, but sometimes things go to new and unexpected places, which I follow and try to integrate into the whole.

I hope the music can bring the listener some moments of stillness and peace.
